Beethoven’s 10 violin sonatas are regarded as the cornerstone of the violin and piano repertory. Written, for the most part, in the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, the 10 sonatas reflect both the composer’s stylistic development and the turmoil of his times.
One of the most outstanding violinists from China, Bin Huang has been universally lauded for her interpretive and technical skills, and maintained international prominence by winning both the Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy, and the Munich (ARD) International Music Competition in Germany. She will perform Beethoven’s complete violin sonatas with the distinguished Chinese pianist Yuan Sheng, who has gained international recognition through his extensive performances across the America, Europe and Asia. This will be the first collaboration of the two prominent soloists who both have deep connections to these pieces.
