Mazha is a traditional handicraft. It is a mini seat, with the crossing legs as a support, on which tied up with canvas, ropes and so on. It can be folded and it`s easy to carry.
Mazha stool weaving workshop is held by Henny van Nistelrooy. Through making your own Mazha, paticipants can be guided to explore the process of creating a Mazha stool from designing to weaving.
About the artist
Henny who founded the Henny van Nistelrooy Studio is a Dutch designer who received Master`s degree from Royal College of Art. After graduation he accumulated experience in many design studio including Tord Boontje, and soon set up his own studio. Henny is obsessed with exploring the process of designing and molding. He keeps trying to find out the intersection of industry and handicraft industry, to create new technical means and to promote development of design as well as manufacturing.
In the workshop you will weave your own Mazha under the guidance of the artist, including choosing the colour, selecting the ropes and weaving the Mazha. And witness the crush between inspiration and traditional handicraft.

From today to August 4th 2018,10:00 am. Registration closes when full. Cancelling beyond this time will not be refunded the registration fee.
