CHU Wanghua

CHU Wanghua, one of the most distinguished Chinese composers and pianists, has had great influence on the recent development of Chinese piano music. In his sixty-year compositional career, CHU priduced a large body of repertoire and the majority of his works are piano pieces. His works are based on Chinese traditional folk tunes and instrumental music and incorporate Western classical musical style, harmonic language, and compositional technique. CHU’s unique approach to composition not only enables him to stand out from other Chinese composers, but also promotes Chinese piano music worldwide




Renaat Beheydt received a rich musical education in Belgium. After graduating from the Antwerp Conservatory and the Lemmens Music Conservatory he entered the famous Queen Elisabeth Chapel, where he studied with Professor Levente Kende for three years, graduating in 1989 with the highest degree. His career as a performing pianist has brought Beheydt from Belgium to most European countries and to America and Asia. Mr. Beheydt lives and teaches in Shenzhen since 2009 and was appointed associate professor at the Xinghai Conservatory in Shenzhen since 2009 and was appointed associate professor at the Xinghai Conservatory in Guangzhou in 2012.
