Jialin Zhang, Collaborative Pianist, was born in a musical family in Beijing. As of ten years old, he attended Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) and graduated from Piano Major. Currently, he is the professor of CCOM, Head of Teaching and Research Section on Accompagnement Piano and Vocal Coach of Vocal Music and Opera Department, master tutor and contract educator of YAMAHA.
Jialin Zhang has given concerts with many world-famous singers including Liping Zhang, Dilber Yunus and Jo Sumi, and made more than 20 CD records. In 2013, he cooperated with Liping Zhang to make records of Schubert’s Lieder and Chinese art songs, which were produced and published by Universal Music Group (UMG). Jialin Zhang used to serve as the Music Coach of many operas including Rigolettto, La Traviata and Semele; as a Chamber Pianist, Jialin Zhang founded the “DNA Trio” with Cellist, Zhao Song and violinist, Jingye Zhang jointly in 2005; their records were published by Guangzhou Company of China Record Group and NCPA CLASSICS. In 2018-2019, he held lecture concert series on 15 Sonatas for Piano and Violin by Mozart with Jingye Zhang at the Resource Center of NCPA.
As the specially invited writer, Jialin Zhang has published more than 200 music comments and viewpoints articles in many journals of Beijing and Shanghai. He is also the author of Piano Performance and Accompagnement Skills. Jialin Zhang has planned promotion events of classic music for performance and academic institutions, radio &TV and online media in China, as well as given series lectures on vocal music and piano works.
