Homemade Furniture with Opendesk / Openmake

Opendesk is committed to providing creative and sustainable designer furniture for the world. All products are manufactured locally for users through digital design technology. In this workshop, participants will explore the open source spirit in the design industry as well as experiencing the entire design process firsthand from manufacturing with numerically controlled machine tools to final assembly. After completing the two sessions participants will have their very own piece of designer furniture “Rotational Stool” to take home.

Activity: Get to know about CNC cutting and machines. Watch the process of cutting “Rotational Stool” and start sanding the cut pieces.

Location: 2F Learning Studio, Design Society | Sea World Culture and Arts Center
Activity: Anne & Gary, the designers of “Rotational Stool”, will share their experience on CNC cutting and the story of “Rotational Stool”. Then you can finish assembling and oiling the stool under their guidance and bring your own furniture home!
